Not sure anyone is even paying attention.....

But here's one of my newest layouts. It's been ages since posting on here and really ages since I've done any serious scrapbooking, but I plan to upload my new projects as I make them. If you are still reading then Thank You!!

I don't subscribe to any scrapbook kits anymore, and I don't even have a LSS to shop at except the big box store - M's and HL - which I rarely find anything I like there anymore! I just go there to get supplies for my Silhouette! I very rarely purchase anything online either - just usually when someone is having a great sale I do purchase some things from Tuesday Morning. I used to work there for a couple of years before I moved and I got first dibs on the new stuff that came in - I did unbox it! The problem is that I moved to a different state with a much smaller scrap space to create in. And I was just sickened by how much stuff I packed up - I think everything from my scrap space equaled the rest of my house in boxes. So, I use what I have and supplement with a few new items every once in a while. So here I go....

This layout is of my Mother, daughter and me as we were walking - which is something that we love to do together. No matter where we are or who we are visiting, we go out and walk. Usually after a meal. Because we all love food and always eat too much!
I used my favorite heavy woodgrain white cardstock as the base. The patterned paper is from a Studio Calico kit. I did a paint technique on my page before layering my photo and embellishments on top. The embellishments are Maggie Holmes Crate Paper. I Love Crate Paper so I have tons of embellishments by them! The title stickers were from a Studio Calico kit too.

Well, if anyone is out there looking and has any comments or questions I'd love to read/answer them!!

Thanks for stopping by!! :)

Reveal Day for The Front Porch Kit "It's Fall Y'all"

Wow, it's been a while since I've blogged - lots of new and exciting things happened in my life this past year, but now back to normalcy - finally!! - and I got to create with the exciting new Front Porch Kit by The Little Blue House!! It's called "It's Fall Y'all" and that's the perfect description of all the fun goodies you get in this kit - perfect for Fall memories!

My first project features a photo of my granddaughter wearing her new New Orleans Saints hat - getting ready for the football season!
I hand cut the large letters of my title using the football print paper

My next layout features my granddaughter and me together - I watch her everyday while her parents are at work so I have lots of selfies of us together!! That's us enjoying the cool fall weather out in the park!
I  layered several of my leftover cards and scraps, using the colors instead of the patterns to dictate which pieces I used. Grey, pink, yellow and blue were my color choices so I chose all of those pieces and layered them. I chose blue and grey because that was the color of our clothes, I chose a touch of pink because it was in the blanket we were laying on and popped a little in the photo. Then I chose yellow since it's across from blue on the color wheel and it's a contrasting color to help make my photo and title really stand out on my page.

Next is a two page layout of my granddaughter's birthday party. She turned one in August, and even though it's not fall, the colors of her camp themed party matched the colors of this kit perfectly!
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut some camp themed pieces - the tent, trees, and arrows. I painted the chipboard banner pieces from the kit with crackle paint, then layered the cute letter stickers from the kit on top of them! They were the perfect mimic of the actual banner I made for her party which you can see in one of the photos!

A feature piece in the kit is the wooden plaque, and I couldn't resist painting gold and then using my Silhouette to cut out a saying for my favorite football team to keep on my TV stand during football season!!
I cut all the pieces from the black cardstock (except the words "Game Day" which comes precut in the kit), then highlighted some of the pieces with  gold Stickles. I edged the entire piece using black Stickles.

For my last project I made some gift tags - one of my favorite things to make!
I used the precut title that came in the kit on this tag
And for this tag, I inked, ripped, and sewed the cloth piece from the kit to make this ruffled tag with flower

Full Reveal Front Porch Kit "Gather Together"

Today is the day the full kit is revealed!! Here's a photo of the complete kit. The kit will be available for pick up and/or shipment on Thursday, 10/29. If you would like to pre-order, you can do so at the Little Blue House, by phone (817) 431-7930, or order online at www.thelittlebluehouseonline.com.

And here are my projects that I was so inspired to create!

First is my pie pan wall hanging. I spray painted the pan a light aqua color and then layered  the inside of the pan with papers and diecuts. For the outer paper edge, I cut a large doily using my Silhouette and wrapped it on the outer edge of my pan. I popped up my title and diecuts in the center of the pan, then adhered some beads to the leaves.
Next is my little owl. I used the dish cloth from the kit attaching yarn for the legs. I cut the wings from the blue burlap and then stiffened them with fabric stiffener before attaching them the owl.
This is my single page layout using the gorgeous paper by Simple Stories. I cut the crossed arrows using my Silhouette Cameo as well as the title. I used the round center of the page on a previous project (the center of the pie tin wall hanging) so I simply backed the page with the blue woodgrain piece and started layering. I heat embossed the chipboard branches with gold embossing powder, then layered the owl on top if it.

Next up is my treat bag that I filled with yummy candies for my daughter! I made a little paper weave for the front of my bag, then used the packaging from the diecut pieces in the kit to make a little shaker tag to hang off of the front.

Here is a card that I made by fussy cutting the truck from one of the journal cards from one of the pieces of patterned paper. I had a small scrap of blue burlap leftover so I layered it under the truck for more interest and texture.
Last project is my two page layout featuring photos from Thanksgiving. I love the tiny fork and spoon included in the kit. It was fun to use on my layout!

Quick Fall project made for The Little Blue House Blog

I made this really quick cute treat bag made for the "After Dark" Crate Paper Collection - perfect for some fall yummies!

I simply stamped my sentiment with letter stamps between the gold glitter stripes which were already on the bag. I cut some leaves using my Silhouette Cameo and Crate Paper and then spritzed the leaves with fall colored spray mists. Spraying the mists caused the leaves to curl up when dried - making them look like real fallen leaves - so I used a tiny pop dot in the center of each leaf to attach to the bag, leaving the curls in them to give texture to my treat bag. I adhered some ribbon at the top and bottom of the bag to frame my title.

Quick, easy and a fun way to share some treats with someone you love!

Check out this and other fun fall projects on The Little Blue House blog here that will be going on all month long!
